Does the patient need to come into a clinic? ▼
No. Our providers visit the patient at home, at an assisted living facility, or wherever the patient is located. There is no need to travel to a clinic.
Does the patient need to have Medicare? ▼
The patient needs Medicare, Medi-Cal, or both. If the patient has a Medicare Advantage plan or a Medi-Cal managed care plan, tell us the plan name — coverage under those plans varies, so we’ll verify it before anything is scheduled. Not sure what the patient has? Call us and we’ll help you check.
What if the patient has a Medicare Advantage or Medi-Cal managed care plan? ▼
Tell us the plan name when we call. Coverage under these plans varies from plan to plan, so we verify the patient’s specific plan before anything is scheduled. There’s no cost to find out.
What if the patient only has private or employer insurance? ▼
At this time we accept Medicare and Medi-Cal only. If you’re not sure which the patient has, call us and we’ll help you check.
What if the patient is in a skilled nursing facility? ▼
For patients in a skilled nursing facility, wound care is usually covered by the facility under Medicare Part A, so we often can’t bill separately. You’re still welcome to call us — we’re happy to talk it through and point you in the right direction.
What if the patient is already receiving home health services? ▼
That is a good sign. We work alongside existing home health agencies and nursing teams. Our providers coordinate care and share clinical notes with the existing team.
How quickly can someone be seen? ▼
We contact you within 24 hours of your request. In most cases a clinician visits the patient within 72 to 96 hours, depending on location and availability.
Is this available in my area? ▼
We serve the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California communities within about 150 miles of San Francisco, and Southern California — Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Imperial, and Kern counties. Availability varies by area — call or submit the form and we'll confirm coverage for the patient's specific address.

Do I need a referral from a doctor? ▼
No. Patients and family members can request care directly. If the patient has an existing physician or home health agency, we coordinate with them and share clinical notes after each visit.
Who actually visits the patient? ▼
Clinical care is delivered by licensed California clinicians who specialize in wound care. They visit the patient directly and coordinate with the patient's existing care team.
Can I request a call for someone else? ▼
Yes. Family members, caregivers, facility staff, and case managers can all request a call on the patient’s behalf.
What does the form ask for? ▼
Your name and phone number, the patient’s ZIP code, your relationship to the patient, where the patient is staying, and their insurance. We don’t ask for wound descriptions or medical history on the form — we go over those on the call.
Is there a cost to find out if the patient qualifies? ▼
No. We verify the patient’s coverage and confirm availability in their area before anything is scheduled, and there’s no cost to find out.
